چکیده

Volkov states are exact solutions of the Dirac equation in presence an arbitrary plane wave. states, as well free photon not stable background plane-wave field but "decay" electrons/positrons can emit photons and transform into electron-positron pairs. By using corresponding Schwinger-Dyson equations within locally-constant approximation, we compute probabilities nonlinear single Compton scattering Breit-Wheeler pair production by including effects decay electron, positron, states. As a result, find that these processes be expressed integral over light-cone time known valid for per unit times time-dependent exponential damping function each interacting particle. The incoming (outgoing) either electron/positron or at corresponds to total probability emits via transforms until (from on). It is interesting terms depend only on particles momentum also their spin (for electrons/positrons) polarization photons). This additional dependence discrete quantum numbers prevents application sum-rules, which significantly simplify computations perturbative regime.

First-order strong-field QED processes in a tightly focused laser beam

In a previous article [Phys. Rev. Lett. 117, 213201 (2016)] we have determined the angular resolved and the total energy spectrum of a positron produced via nonlinear Breit-Wheeler pair production by a high-energy photon counterpropagating with respect to a tightly focused laser beam. Here, we first generalize the results in that article by including the possibility that the incoming photon is ...

Strong Field, Noncommutative QED

We review the effects of strong background fields in noncommutative QED. Beginning with the noncommutative Maxwell and Dirac equations, we describe how combined noncommutative and strong field effects modify the propagation of fermions and photons. We extend these studies beyond the case of constant backgrounds by giving a new and revealing interpretation of the photon dispersion relation. Cons...

Damping Rate of a Scalar Particle in Hot Scalar Qed

In contrast to the damping of partons in a quark-gluon plasma, the damping of a scalar particle in a hot scalar QED plasma can be calculated to leading order for the whole momentum range using the Braaten-Pisarski method. In this way the evolution of the logarithmic infrared singularity caused by the exchange of a transverse photon from soft to hard momenta can be studied. The damping rates of ...

Generation of Nonclassical States of the Radiation Field in the System of a Single Trapped Atom in a Cavity within the First Order of the Lamb-Dicke Approximation

In this paper, we propose a theoretical scheme for the generation of non-classical states of the cavity field in a system of a single trapped atom via controlling the Lamb-Dicke parameter. By exploiting the super-operator method, we obtain an analytical expression for the density operator of the system by which we examine the dynamical behaviors of the atomic population inversion, the phase-spa...

Large orders in strong-field QED

We address the issue of large-order expansions in strong-field QED. Our approach is based on the one-loop effective action encoded in the associated photon polarisation tensor. We concentrate on the simple case of crossed fields aiming at possible applications of high-power lasers to measure vacuum birefringence. A simple next-to-leading order derivative expansion reveals that the indices of re...
